Rules and Eligibility
· Contestant must be a United States citizen · Contestants must be a resident of Lake County, Illinois · Contestants must be female · Contestants must meet the age requirements · Contestant must never have been a Lake County Illinois State queen in the age division they are competing in · Contestant must be a reigning Lake County town queen · Contestants must compete in all categories of the pageant · Contestants must agree to have their photo used in newspaper and other publications approved by the LCIS board · Constants must never have been convicted of a minor or felony offense · As a contestant, you must be enrolled in school or have a high school diploma or have completed the G.E.D. program. If you are 18 years or older, you must be enrolled in High School or college or completed college or a trade school program. You must have good standing grades or have finished school in good standings. No exceptions. If the LCIS board feels you do not meet those requirements, a reference letter may be requested from a teacher, guidance counselor, or a school official. · Contestants may not have been married or have had a marriage annulled. · It is expected that every contestant and their family and friends will show good sportsmanship before, during, and after the pageant. · Contestants must never have been pregnant or have had a child · Contestants must bring in a minimum of $50 in advertisements for the program book · Crowned Lake County Illinois State Queen winners most not compete in any other pageant or pageant like competition during the reign · Crowned LCIS queens may not marry during her reign · Crowned LCIS queens may not become pregnant during their reign. · Crowned LCIS queens must agree to behave like a queen on facebook, Instagram, etc. Anything the board disapproves of, must be removed immediately without question. · Crowned LCIS queens many not partake in alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, or smoking of any kind during their reign. Those of age will refrain from drinking alcohol while wearing their Miss Lake County Illinois State sash and crown. They also may not drink at pageant functions. · Crowned LCIS queens must refer all appearance requests to the LCIS board of directors · Crowned LCIS queens must agree to represent Lake County at various functions unless academics make it impossible or the board approves your absents. · Miss Lake County Illinois State is required to complete a minimum of one event supporting her platform or charity she chooses. The LCIS board will assist them in planning. · Crowned LCIS queens may not wear jeans unless specified by the LCIS board. Attire must always be appropriate for the event.
